On Sunday, Aug. 31, LiFE Nightclub, the heart of nightlife at SLS Las Vegas, closed out Labor Day Weekend with Grammy™ award-winning DJ duo Deep Dish and special guest Pete Tong.
After dining on property at Katsuya, Tong set the tone for the new mega-club with a blend of amplified house and electronic remixes, giving club goers a sneak-peek into his new residency at LiFE Nightclub. Following the set, Deep Dish took over the DJ booth with their “deep” house remixes including their latest single “Quincy,” and kept the party going all night long inside Las Vegas’ newest hotspot.
Also on property, actress Jessica Szohr and Glee’s Jenna Ushkowitz celebrated a friend’s birthday with a small group at Katsuya. The party enjoyed specialty cocktails and a special tasting menu presented by the chef, inside one of the restaurant’s private dining rooms. Former Light Heavyweight Champion Tito Ortiz was also spotted at the cult favorite Umami Burger, Beer Garden & Sports Book. Accompanied by his girlfriend Amber Nichole Miller and a small group of friends, Ortiz enjoyed the Especial Burger and shared an order of Smothered Fries and Sloppy Fries, before making their way to LiFE nightclub to enjoy Deep Dish’s ultimate dance party.
SLS Las Vegas debuted on Aug. 23 and is the newest property by global hospitality leader sbe. SLS Las Vegas is an all-encompassing resort and casino with more than 1,600 guest rooms and suites in three distinctive towers, and a collection of sbe’s acclaimed restaurant and nightlife brands.

Nightlife in its purest form is rebellion… a rebellion against the social status quo through an unbridled celebration of sight, sound, scene and form. It’s that very philosophy that is at the core of what LiFE represents. It’s not about creating another Vegas nightclub; it’s about fostering a movement that rebels against the one-dimensional norm that has come to define nightlife. For far too long, the party has been about just the entertainment and LiFE defies that convention, knowing the real essence of the party is its people.
