The search for the next Miss Nevada USA and Miss Nevada Teen USA has officially begun, with the pageants to be held at the Artemus W. Ham Concert Hall at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on Sunday, Nov. 13.
The two new winners will be crowned by the previous titleholders, Miss Nevada USA 2016, Emelina Adams, and Miss Nevada Teen USA 2016, Carissa Morrow.
Hosted by former Miss USA 2014 Nia Sanchez and Josh Keating, the beautiful contestants will be judged in three areas of competition, including interview, swimsuit and evening gown for Miss Nevada USA contestants; and interview, athletic wear and evening gown for Miss Nevada Teen USA contestants. The winners of Miss Nevada USA and Miss Nevada Teen will represent the Silver State at the national level at the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA competitions next year.
Throughout their reign, the newly crowned beauty queens will help give back to the community, working with charities and becoming fashion icons while modeling the latest fashions at red carpet events. Both Miss Nevada USA 2017 and Miss Nevada Teen USA 2017 will win an exciting prize package full of stylish attire, shoes, travel, scholarships, and special packages from sponsors, including one year of hair care from celebrity colorist Michael Boychuck; one year of free tanning services by BOLD Sunless Tanning; fashions by Jovani LA; a collection of shoes and bags by Chinese Laundry; an exclusive day wardrobe provided by Jason Kim of Double Zero Fashions; and a VIP celebrity gift bag by Mark Harris with WOW! The star-studded judging panel will be responsible for assessing each contestant by their character, poise, confidence and personality. This year’s judges for the pageants include: Jade Kelsell, Miss Nevada USA 2012; Michael Boychuck, celebrity colorist; Ross Walters, professional pageant coach; Dr. Ben Tali, celebrity Beverly Hills plastic surgeon; and Lauren Cahlan, the current Mrs. Nevada-America 2016 and former Miss Nevada Teen USA 2008. Singer and songwriter Brett Young will return to the stage this year to entertain guests with live performances.

The Miss Nevada USA and Miss Nevada Teen USA pageants serve as official preliminary competitions to the country’s renowned pageant system, the Miss Universe Organization, owned by the WME-IMG Talent Agency.
