Shift Hospitality, the team behind MTO Cafe, will open a second location of the dining destination at the new Downtown Summerlin complex this fall.
Since debuting in October of 2013, MTO Cafe in downtown Las Vegas has garnered raves from culinary critics and foodie fans with breakfast, lunch and brunch offerings featuring classic American fare and fresh local ingredients.
The Downtown Summerlin location will be a walkup concept bearing MTO Cafe’s modern-yet-retro industrial feel, spanning 2,500 square-feet with four distinct dining areas, including the dining room, counter and a community table as well as an 800 square-foot outdoor patio. As with the original café, the community table will be handcrafted by the owners using wood from the family farm in Kentucky.
The menu, from Chef Johnny Church, will expand to include dinner, while Summerlin diners will also enjoy signature favorites including the lemon poppy seed pancakes with blueberry-ginger compote, chicken in a waffle, the Fat Elvis sandwich with French toast, bacon, banana, peanut butter, strawberries and Nutella and The Hang Over burger with bacon, fried egg, Tillamook Cheddar, lettuce and special sauce.
“We look forward to expanding the brand and creating new MTO Cafe fans in this very exciting location,” said Shift Hospitality partner Ben Sabouri. “Our guests in downtown Las Vegas have truly backed our vision since we opened here just ten months ago, and it is their support that has allowed us to take this next step to bring the concept to more people in the community,” added partner Matthew Moore.
